In his Intersolar Munich 2016 presentation, Redefining Solar O&M – How Will Solar O&M Look Like in the Future?Vassilis Papaeconomou of Alectris outlined the current and future state of the solar PV operations and maintenance (O&M) market and gave what attendees called “a first taste” of the SolarPower Europe new Solar O&M Best Practices Guidelines introduced at the show.

Bio: Vassilis Papaeconomou, Managing Director, Alectris

Alectris at Intersolar Munich 2016 web 2Vassilis has been involved in the solar industry since 2006. His extensive solar experience spans solar PV plant development, construction, financing and asset care (operations, maintenance and management). He has in depth knowledge of the contractual and technical matters of PV investments and a large professional network in the PV community, both technical and financial.

His start in the solar industry begin with solar development in his home country, Greece. In 2012 Vassilis started Alectris, creating the infrastructure for a holistic approach to solar PV asset care, including operations, maintenance and asset management.

His pioneering work includes the development of the award winning proprietary software, ACTIS, the world’s first Solar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) a cloud based integrated solar monitoring, O&M, and asset management tool currently operational on nearly 500 solar plants worldwide.

Vassilis is a member of the SolarPower Europe solar O&M task force. He is a frequent speaker at global solar industry events. He graduated from the Universität Karlsruhe as a Chemical Engineer.
