O&M Manager

Alectris India is looking for a dynamic solar O&M (operations and maintenance) professional to join our team in India. The O&M Manager will report to and support the Business Development Manager (BDM) with all operational activities. He/she will be liaising with the rest of the team globally seeking technical or other support and/or for sharing ideas, news and market developments.

This position with Alectris India will be located in our new offices in the Mumbai area in the town of Pune.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the BDM on the day to day responsibilities/ requirements
  • Assist the BDM on negotiating terms and conditions with subcontractors and clients
  • Conduct pre-negotiation consultations with BDM and technical personnel to negotiate prices, terms and conditions, and contract amendments.
  • Monitor, assess and control subcontractors’ activities and work schedule
  • Develop Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Cost Models
  • Monitor O&M costs for existing clients
  • Gather relevant data from sources such as the historic solar and wind operating costs
  • Market Analysis
  • Competitors’ analysis (pricing, service offering etc.)
  • Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), environmental assessments, and design reports to conduct analysis of O&M expenditures for new proposals and existing concessions
  • Track large expenditures and determine more efficient ways of performing such works or if replication of an existing efficient operation should be used at other clients
  • Develop O&M forecast expenditure trends
  • Prepare presentations, reports, consultant/vendor comparison statements, and other documents to be used within the Technical Department
  • Performing contract administration as well as assisting in the preparation of statements of work with technical staff.
  • Preparing requests for proposals for changes/change orders and completing contract modifications.
  • Attend technical conferences and trainings
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Evaluate new and potential subcontractors
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontractors for approval by the management
  • Monitor subcontractors’ performance
  • Ensure subcontractors abide to quality standards set by the company
Marketing and Support
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events as required
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
  • Liaise with other members of the sales and technical teams globally
  • Help in the design of custom-made products
  • Attend client meetings remotely and in-person as required
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the technical team.

Business Development Manager

Alectris India is looking for a dynamic Business Development professional to drive sales in the rapidly growing market of PV parks across India, including on-site and grid-connected and possibly local microgrid projects.  Focus will be on prospecting new customers, developing client pipeline, working through technical, contractual and financial issues, closing transactions, supporting project construction activities and achieving positive financial results for our customers and the business.

The Business Development Manager will conduct business development activities, working with and having the continuous support of the rest of the dynamic Alectris global team. Products and services offered include operations & maintenance, monitoring, monitoring software and New Technologies products.

We require a Business Development Manager with proven ability to manage the sales & business development process, to manage multiple sales opportunities, and to communicate effectively.

The Business Development Manager will be reporting to the General Manager. He/she will support the GM with strategic activities that drive business. He/she will be liaising with the rest of the team globally seeking technical or other support and/or for sharing ideas news and market developments.  He/she will develop solar proposals, respond to RFPs, maintain relationships with government entities and businesses to develop solar opportunities and close sales.

This position with Alectris India will be located in our new offices in the Mumbai area in the town of Pune.

Responsibilities
Meeting agreed sales targets
  • New client development to promote company products and services and maximize client potential in designated regions
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
  • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiate tender, contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company requirements
  • Client quotations and administration of client accounts
  • Responsible for directly developing and closing new business with Distributors and PV integrators / Installers within assigned area.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales, revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Develop and execute on Sales Plan and strategy
  • Develops business cases to support new business recommendations for new sales
  • Market analysis/market research
Training and after sales service
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
  • Arrange and carry out product training
Control & Reporting
  • Analyze costs and sales
  • Prepare reports for management
  • Responsible for opening customer accounts and keeping/updating customer records
  • Coordinate cross functional departments/resources to ensure outstanding customer support
Outsourcing
  • Monitor and assist O&M manager where needed in the outsourcing procedure

Office Administrator

Alectris India is seeking an Office Administrator who will be excited about working in a start-up environment in the renewable energy industry.  The Office Administrator will be responsible for both (1) managing the day-to-day office administration, functioning as administrator, receptionist, and general office point of contact and (2) performing accounts payable and receivable data entry and management.

The successful job candidate will report to the Business Development Manager.

This position with Alectris India will be located in our new offices in the Mumbai area in the town of Pune.

Responsibilities
  • Manage office administration, including ordering supplies and materials, interfacing with vendors, and coordinating meetings on-site.
  • Book necessary travel arrangements for team members
  • Receive visitors to the office and coordinate on-site meeting logistics.
  • Provide general support to staff, including managing paperwork, preparing deliveries, responding to requests for information.
  • Receive and process invoices, coordinate with vendors for needed information, secure internal approval for payment
  • Process weekly payments, cutting checks and processing wire requests
